NEET - MDS 2021 | Dates and Eligibility Criteria
What is NEET exam?
The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) is used to determine the eligibility of Medical and Dental students who wish to pursue a profession. Before submitting the final application form, the applicant must closely review the eligibility criteria. Students who fully meet the NEET- MDS admission criteria set by the National Examinations Board (NBE) can register for the NEET- MDS entrance examination. Every year, approximately 6,228 Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) graduates from 259 dental colleges across India through NEET MDS.

NEET-MDS, 2022 exam dates;
The NEET MDS exam is normally held in December/January. NEET-MDS is expected to be released in October 2021, with the application process beginning in October 2021. The application process must be completed by the end of November 2021, and candidates will be able to download their exam admit cards by the first week of December 2021. The exam is scheduled for 1st week of December 2021. The results will be announced by NBE in the last week of December-2021.
Lastly, the counselling process will begin in March 2022, which is held by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) for the All India Quota and by the designated state authority for the State Quota. Shortlisted students must register themselves with their NEET MDS accounts in order to participate in the dental counselling process. Later, private and deemed dental universities will hold their own counselling sessions. The official website for staying up to date is nbe.edu.in.

Eligibility for the NEET – MDS has been determined:
- Candidates must earn a BDS degree from a country-recognized institute or university.
- The applicant must be an Indian resident, an Overseas Citizen of India (ocis), or a Person of Indian Origin (pios).
- Candidates must be registered with the State Dental Council (SDC) or the Dental Council of India (DCI) on a provisional or permanent basis.
- Before filling out the registration form, you must complete a one-year rotatory internship.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS IN NEET:
- According to the NEET MDS eligibility requirements, foreign nationals are not required to obtain DCI temporary registration at the time of review.
- Foreign nationals are usually allowed to take the exam without a DCI registration certificate.
- Such a person is duly registered as a medical practitioner in his or her own country, where he or she obtained his or her specific dental degree, and whose degree is recognized by the corresponding state dental council or concerned authority.
NEET MDS Eligibility Criteria – who can be unqualified at any point of time?

- Candidates that are identified to be unsuitable for NEET-MDS 2021 due to any constraint are automatically excluded from taking the exam and/or therapy.
- In order to take the NEET MDS entrance test, candidates must first enroll and fill out a registration and followed by application form.
- Candidates who are already enrolled in a PG course at their university or another university will only be accepted after completing the course.
- The candidates who have signed up for PG courses under the all-India quota or state quota and applied for a seat under the all-India quota will confirm the applicable university admission requirements.
- Registering and appearing for NEET MDS for any candidate is permitted only once in the academic year. For Ex: if appearing for NEET MDS 2020 then you are allowed once in the academic year 2021.
- Using more than one form would not improve your chances. Rather, you will be prohibited from taking the exam. –
- Admit cards for the test are only valid for a limited period of time. The NEET-MDS program, which will be available, next year, does not provide the applicant with all of the privileges needed for MDS enrollment. Exams mark the turning point of any situation in education field. And it is not a simple stalk like in a plaza. Rather it an enraging battle to cop up with and we have to be prepared for this battle.
